swim and playdates!

Sydney started swimming lessons yesterday evening at the Lake Johnson pool which is run by the City of Raleigh. We like that one b/c there is a splash park and baby pool so we can go play early and Mollie can play during her lesson. I was a little skeptical about signing her up for level 2 this year, but she did great! It's going to get kind of old b/c we have it every day this week at 5:10, but then it will be over for the summer. And she really needs to learn to swim by herself! She was doing great at the end of last summer and seems to have picked it right back up.

We're enjoying having Mom here. She ordered a bed that will be here tomorrow so then she'll be officially camped out in the basement. It's finished, don't worry, haha, she's not in the dungeon! She goes with us to our activities sometimes, but mostly does her own thing. Yesterday morning we went to LeAnne and Eliza's house for a playdate with them and Anna and her mom Kelly R. and baby Briggs from Mollie's preschool class. They are so much fun! LeAnne has a cute picture of them dressing up on her blog. Plus I got to hold Eliza's baby sister Lydia who is so sweet. These girls really enjoyed the dress up clothes selection that Eliza has and we are going to have to get some more dresses. They already are constantly pulling things out of my drawers and shoes out of my closet to wear around the house. If Nancy comes over after work, watch out, she may not find her shoes for a while. She always wears heels to work and these little ladies steal them and wear them around the house.

This morning we had dance. We are missing one ballet shoe, haha, so the girls had to go barefoot for that part. I hope we find it. I was having them share a pair since they're stretchy! They could both wear them. The beauty of having 2 girls close in age...
I have a feeling they will be sharing clothes and shoes in the future. Mollie is closing in on Sydney!

This evening we are going to swimming lessons then home and Mom's going to keep the girls while I go out with some ladies. One used to live in the culdesac in front of our house and a few others live in the neighborhood. Like Wendy who used to watch Sydney for me when I was working part time those 2 years! We are going to On the Border, yum. Phil is gone the next two nights (again) and I have earned a margarita. We had to have a chat about travel lately b/c it's getting a bit ridiculous. Gramma's here, but she's not a daddy substitute.

Tomorrow morning we are going to meet Daniele and Cameron at the gym and maybe try the free movie for this week. Daniele is one of my Kindergarten teacher friends, lives close by and goes to our gym. She's finally all the way out for the summer;) Cameron is right between Sydney and Mollie's ages and we had a clothes rotation going on until Mollie started needing Sydney's clothes the next year!

Gotta go pack the pool bag before the girls get up! Sydney's taken a nap the last 2 days thank goodness!
