I'm officially a blog quitter. I can't keep up. Sorry if you were waiting for an update. My cousin Laura informed me a few weeks ago that my blog was gathering dust. And she's right. I just can't give it so much attention anymore. Facebook is faster and easier!

Sydney had a repeat of her 4th birthday party: A winter luau at the community center. It's really easy to rent rooms there and really reasonably priced per hour! You just have to set everything up and clean it up of course. She had a ball and said that she's going to have a luau party every year:) Of course, now that the guests were 5 and 6 , and there weren't as many of them, we could do more structured things so they weren't running around like crazy people like at her 4th b-day party!

I thought I would go back and give the girls' birthdays a little more attention. They were pretty darn fun!
Mollie's was a tea party at the community center. She had 8 little girls and then we had 3 bigger girls who are Sydney's age be "helpers" and served tea, cupcakes, helped with dress-up, etc. They were great! And really seemed to enjoy it.
Chase came really dressed up already! So handsome!
Our craft was putting polka dot and flower stickers on plastic tea cups to decorate them... 
We read a Fancy Nancy tea party book...

The kids had sandwiches, fruit and cheese mini-kabobs, and snack mix along with lemonade that they kept pouring...and pouring...and pouring...

Sydney is 6! She had her birthday on the 16th. It's so hard to believe I have a 6 year old. I'm not that old. I don't feel old enough to have a 6 year old!!!

I think one reason I suck at blogging lately is b/c my main laptop that stays plugged in in my office has no battery life. So I can't come hang out in front of the TV with my hubby and post pictures. I don't know why I think I should always post pictures. I did update a few months of the Shutterfly site:) Still behind though!
I got Mollie all registered for preschool next year. That was preoccupying (how do you spell that?) my time time/mind for a little while. I couldn't decide which class to want. Which is a good problem that our preschool actually offers enough options to want. Unlike the Catholic preschool who didn't give a crap. But anyway, Lutheran is pretty close and we're VERY happy there. Next school year she will go 5 days from 9-12:30 in a transitional K class. I couldn't decide whether to put her in a regular 4 year old class or transition (which her b-day qualifies her for). I really like how this year all of her class turned 4 by Christmas. They are much more on an even playing field developmentally. And her teachers recommended transition so we did that. And can I tell you how weird it is to have to even register for preschool almost 8 months in advance? Dumb.
Sydney's doing well in school. She has had some talking issues, but apparently is doing a lot better now. I'm proud of her. Sydney's just more in it for the socialization, haha. I can tell. And that's fine. I'm not asking her to be admitted to Harvard at the end of the year. She has lots of time for that. Right now she's more worried about ear rings and hair and toys.
Off to finish watching Cougartown!
I don't know where the time went. My Mollie is 4! Her party is not until Saturday and yesterday she was kind of confused. She didn't want us to "celebrate" her birthday. Everyone who loves her called to tell her Happy Birthday and she wouldn't talk to any of them. She says she won't be 4 until Sat. She did wear her birthday girl shirt yesterday though and her 4 shirt today. Here is Mollie playing with her new Tinkertoys for girls--one of the coolest toys ever. They just carry them at Toysrus. 
And the handmade snowman dress I got her in Charleston. Love it! She did too:)
Mollie's preschool had a Thanksgiving program last night. It was her class (the 3/4's) and all the 4 year old and 5 year old (transition) classes.It was so, so cute! Mollie was in the middle of the first row. The last one with the white "gown" (pillowcase) on before the class with the darker colored ones. It was very well done and the kids did a great job singing. I would imagine that being on that stage in front of a room filled with families and friends freaked them out. But they were awesome!! The music and classroom teachers and staff did a great job for an 18 min. performance:) It was well worth it!! 
This is Mollie and her friend Sydney. Sydney's birthday party was this past Saturday. On the girls' feathers it says: "I am thankful for..." and Mollie's says "my friend Sydney's birthday cake." HAHAHA! Sydney mom was there and had a picture on her camera still of the cake and had to show it to the teachers. It was hilarious. The cake really was awesome. It was a Thanksgiving themed party and the cake was a turkey on a platter:) She had cubed up spice cake around the outside with oranges and cranberries. Apparently it made an impression on Mollie!
